US prototype 105 mm twin-barreled heavy tank - Rheem "The Hunter"
3D printed model for wargamers wanting to expand their armies, it can also be used to build dioramas.
The Rheem "The Hunter" was a US experimental prototype heavy tank from the 1950s, equipped with an unusual dual 105mm cannon. The design was intended to provide increased firepower and flexibility by mounting two cannons side by side, which could be aimed independently.
Features:
- Armament: Two 105mm cannons for enhanced rate of fire and flexibility in combat.
- Chassis: Based on a modified tank chassis, such as the M48 Patton, with reinforced armor.
- Armor: Thick front and side armor for protection against incoming fire.
- Engine: Powerful Continental engine, with a maximum speed of about 35 km/h.
- Crew: Four to five personnel.
Despite its innovative concept, the Rheem "The Hunter" faced technical difficulties and logistical challenges, leading to its discontinuation and the absence of mass production. Today, it remains a fascinating chapter in tank history.
